Happy Spring One Sheet Wonder and Gift Pouch

Spring fever is in the air, especially with the warmer weather coming our way. Spring is also a symbol of renewal, birth, and growth, so it's a great time to work with some of the retiring designer series paper (DSP) and create gifts for loved ones. Mother's Day is just a month away and these would bring a smile to those that receive them. You can use any papers, sentiments and coordinating cardstocks you wish.

The first part is a set of six cards made with a single sheet of 6" X 6" DSP, which can be created from a 12" X 12" sheet of DSP cut into 4 pieces. The measurements came from a Stampin" Up! Independent Demonstrator, Patricia Dominicci. I used the retiring Hues of Happiness DSP, Night of Navy cardstck, Granny Apple Green cardstock, and several coordinating ribbons. You will need:
  • 6" X 6" DSP
  • 7" X 7 1/4" coordinating color cardstock for layers
  • 6 card bases--either 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" or 4 1/4" X 11"--in a coordinating color cardstock
  • 12 Basic White/Very Vanilla (coordinates with DSP) cardstock for the front and inside
  • 6 medium envelopes
  • 6" X 10" & 6" X 5" coordinating DSP (for envelope flaps)
  • Ribbons and other embellishments, as desired

Now you have 6 cards and need something cute to put them in. I saw this really cute folding pouch idea shared by Julie Dimatteo. She also showed a quick set of cards and envelopes using cardstock and DSP, but I wanted to share a one sheet wonder idea. You will need a 12" X 12" DSP, 1 or 2 Velcro dots, and any ribbons or other embellishments as desired. Below are some diagrams to help demonstrate the scoring, cutting, folding, and gluing.
