Spread the Love

As I looked at projects people made with the Love & Happiness bundle from the January-June 2022 mini catalog, including the hybrid embossing folder and dies, I decided to share a trio of cards made using these products.
These cards share techniques such as using the hybrid folder with the heart die inset, inking an embossing folder to color the background, and a more simple card with embellishments.

Here are the measurements for products used:
  • 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" (X 2) Thick Basic White cardstock; score in landscape at 4 1/4"
  • 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" coordinating color cardstock; score in landscape at 4 1/4"
  • 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" Basic White cardstock (for colored background with embossing folder
  • 5 3/8" X 4 1/8" coordinating color cardstock
  • 5 1/4" X 4" (X 2) Basic White cardstock (one for white embossed and heart die cut piece & other for inside the color card base)
  • 5 1/4" X  4" Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • Large Heart die from Bouquet of Love dies cut from Basic White cardstock
  • Large label die from Bouquet of Love dies cut from coordinating color cardstock and Basic White cardstock
  • Coordinating color ribbon
  • Iridescent Rhinestones or other embellishments
You can watch the assembly in this video link.

I also shared in my local class some cards made using a card sketch I learned by watching Karen Titus, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. It is quick, simple and can be used for any occasion out of 6" X 6" designer series paper. There are different measurements using the same pattern for placing on a single card base and for having another cardstock layer on the card base.
Here are the dimensions:
  • Standard card base either 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" or 4 1/4" X 11" coordinating color cardstock
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP) 6" X 6"
  • Front cardstock layer (if desired) 5 1/4" X 4" coordinating color cardstock
  • Inside cardstock layer 5 1/4" X 4" (Basic White or Very Vanilla)

You can watch this video to see the cutting dimensions for each card (with and without another front cardstock layer).

Other cards I made as inspired by fellow paper crafters.
A quick and simple card cased from Amy Koenders.
This is a fun fold with a swing pop out (the front was cased from Amy Koenders).
The inside technique was inspired by Kristina Rees.
