In preparing for an in person class, I found so many ideas using diagonals. Because I wanted to work with all of these techniques, I decided to have a diagonals make and take class. I used products that I had on hand, and you could use any stamps, papers, dies or punches to make cards using these techniques for any design. There are so many wonderful paper crafting demonstrators out there that, thankfully, share their ideas online.

Corner Fold Card
(Inspired by Marsha LaFroth shared from Jaime Barbarczy)
• Mossy Meadow card base: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, score in landscape at 4 1/4”
• Floral DSP: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
• Pool Party DSP: 1 5/8” x 3 5/8”
• Basic White: 4” x 5 1/ 4” (cut 2, one for inside and one for the front)
• Basic White: scrap to die-cut label
• Feathers DSP: 3/4" X 4” (inside)
• Linen Thread and Pearls
Directions:
1. Measure down 2" from the top right of the card base and put a small mark with a pencil. Score from this mark to the top middle score line of the card. This flap will fold over. Lay one of the white panels on the card front (without the corner folded down) leaving a 1 /16'' edge around top (ignore the bottom) and place a little pencil mark on the right side just above the right score line on the card base. Place another pencil mark on the top left just slightly inside the score line. Cut from one mark to the other to get your white triangle piece.
2. Now lay that same white piece on the card front with a 1/8" edge around the bottom and sides and place a small pencil mark on the right side just below the score line. Cut from that mark to the top left corner.
3. Take your piece of Pool Party cardstock that is 1 5/8” X 3 5/8” and cut from one corner to the other on the diagonal. This will give you two pieces. You only need one for the card, and you can use the other to make an additional card.
4. Lay the floral DSP over the front white cardstock and mark about 1/8” below the cut side, and then trim from that mark to the top left corner. Attach your floral DSP to the white panel, then attach to the card front.
5. Fold the right corner down on the score line and attach to the card front with dimensionals.
6. Attach your triangle pieces to this folded area, first the white and then the Pool Party.
7. Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink (and a flower in Calypso Coral, if desired) on the white label piece and add to the card with dimensionals.
8. Fussy cut a bird image out of the DSP and glue to the corner area, being careful not to put glue on the part that goes over the edge, so it won't stick to the inside of the card.
9. Tie two strands of Linen Thread into a bow and attach to the card with a glue dot.
10. Add Pearls to the card.
11. Attach the white panel to the inside of the card.
12. Add the 3/4" strip of DSP to the inside. You can also cut another bird image for the inside.
